Those interested in living at Emory Point, a mixed-use residential and retail complex near campus, can now get a head start on renting apartments for next semester.
Gables Residential and Cousins Properties — the real estate companies who have spearheaded development and management efforts for the “luxury apartment community” — announced in an April 16 press release that prospective residents now have the ability to pre-lease their apartments.
Those who are considering pre-leasing must set up an appointment with the Gables Emory Point Preview Center in order to look at floor plans and pricing.
This decision to allow pre-leasing came after management received several inquiries from those interested in renting apartments, according to Job Wilber, who serves as the senior vice president of investments for Gables Residential.
He added that the apartments’ proximity to many “restaurants, shops and outdoor amenities” piqued the interest of prospective residents “interested in the new retail offerings.”
“The interest [in] Gables Emory Point has exceeded our expectations,” Wilbur said. “Emory Point will feature great apartment living in a wonderful location. It really speaks to those wanting an encompassing urban lifestyle.”
According to the Gables Emory Point press release, renters can choose between studio apartments or one-, two- or three-bedroom options.
Each apartment will include a washer and dryer. Residents will also have access to a community pool, athletic center, cyber-lounge and dog park, among various other amenities.
The press release also noted that the apartments were “designed and built with sustainable features” such as an “eco-friendly rainwater irrigation system” and high-efficiency air conditioning systems.
In addition, several new retailers plan on opening shops near the residential community as part of the Emory Point shopping district.
According to the Gables Emory Point press release, these retailers include CVS Pharmacy, Jos. A Bank, Jazmin Spa, American Threads as well as restaurants such as Marlow’s Tavern, Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, Which Wich, Fresh to Order and La Tagliatella.
